Model for YTHDF function in regulating m6A. (A) The original model of the YTHDF function was that each YTHDF paralog had a different effect on mRNA. (B) In the revised model, each of the YTHDF proteins functions cooperatively so that the cumulative amount of YTHDF protein determines the magnitude of m6A-mRNA degradation.
