Steady-state aminoacylation levels of tRNAAsp mutants in the tRNAAsp knockout strain. The aminoacylation level of wild-type E. coli tRNAAsp ranged from 83% to 89% in four independent experiments; that of mutant 2C5 was 71% (Moulinier et al. 2001; data not shown).
