RNAi: Mammalian oocytes do it without RNA-dependent RNA polymerase

MAP kinase activity in oocytes microinjected with chimeric mRNA and EGFP dsRNA and matured in vitro to metaphase II. MAP kinase activity was assayed in single eggs using myelin basic protein (MBP) as a substrate. Similar results were obtained when EGFP siRNA was injected. The experiment was performed three times and at least 15 individual oocytes were analyzed in each group. Shown are the results of a representative experiment.
