Thermal denaturation curves for A+•C to GC mutant B. stearothermophilus trp leader RNAs. All RNAs (36–191) were melted from 5°C–95°C with a step of 0.1°C, and the data were smoothed over 3°C before taking the first derivative. Plots for (A) A42G and (B) A50G melted in TK100M4, pH 8.0 (black), MoK100M4, pH 7.0 (red), or CK100M4, pH 6.5 (green).
