Sequence analysis of telomeric DNA from the DMA mutant reveals incorporation of nucleotides templated by RNA sequence found beyond the normal template. The sequence shown is one of four clones containing read-through sequence. Only the 3′ portion of the telomere is shown in the bottom panel. Underlined nucleotides are nontelomeric. Highlighted in red is sequence added from read-through beyond the template.
