Reaction of 4-thiouridine synthase ribozyme. Ribozyme tethered to pRpp at its 3′ end is incubated with 4SUra. After the displacement of pyrophosphate (PPi), a glycosidic linkage is formed between the ribose sugar and the pyrimidine base to form 4-thiouridine.
