tRNA guanine transglycosylase (PDB id: 7NQ4; Sievers K, Welp L, Urlaub H, Ficner R. 2021. Structural and functional insights into human tRNA guanine transgylcosylase. RNA Biol 18: 382–396). The eukaryotic tRNA guanine transglycosylase (TGT) is an RNA modifying enzyme incorporating queuine, a hypermodified guanine derivative, into tRNAs. The crystal structure of human TGT is shown bound to 9-deazoguanine (covalent intermediate) and stem–loop RNA. 9-deazoguanine is shown in magenta. RNA stem–loop is displayed as a ribbon using NDB colors: A—red, C—yellow, G—green, U—cyan; protein is displayed as ribbons in light gray (catalytic subunits) and orange (accessory subunits). Cover image provided by the Nucleic Acid Database (NDB)/Nucleic Acid Knowledgebase (NAKB; nakb.org). Image was created using Mol* (Sehnal D, Bittrich S, Deshpande M, Svobodová R, Berka K, Bazgier V, Velankar S, Burley SK, Koča J, Rose AS. 2021. Nucleic Acids Res 49: W431–W437).
