Effects of A3 mutations on catalytic complexes. Western analyses of blots analyzing cleared cell lysates after either 48 h (BF) or 96 h (PF) of exclusive expression of either mutated, wild-type, or no A3 (CN) using BN-PAGE (upper panel) and denaturing PAGE (lower panels). The BN-PAGE blots were probed with a mAb for A2 which is present in all CCs; the denaturing PAGE blots were probed with a mAb mixture for four CC proteins or mAbs for the V5 tag on A3, or the HSP70 loading control.
