ZFC3H1 and U1-70K promote the nuclear retention of mRNAs with 5′ splice site motifs within nuclear speckles

Nuclear speckles promote mRNA nuclear retention of 5′SS motif containing mRNA. (AD) U2OS cells were cotransfected with either ftz-Δi-5SS or ftz-Δi, and with either H1B-GFP, GFP-CLK3, or empty vector (“-”).
