U6-II and U6-II-Sm co-IP with the Lsm8 protein. Extracts from Lsm8-2xV5 strains or a control lacking the 2xV5 epitope tag were immunoprecipitated using anti-V5 antibodies. RNAs from the immunoprecipitate, supernatant, or total extract were extracted using phenol, precipitated, and analyzed by primer extension.
