Change in transcript DMS reactivity and change in abundance are inversely correlated overall and in the CDS, but not in the 5′UTR or 3′UTR. (A) Change (Δ) in transcript mean DMS reactivity (mean DMS reactivity−AA − mean DMS reactivity+AA) was plotted against change (Δ) in transcript abundance [log2(TPM−AA) − log2(TPM+AA)]. These transcripts were then broken down into their component regions and the analysis repeated; (B) 5′UTR, (C) CDS, and (D) 3′UTR.
