Cartoon representations derived from experimentally observed box C/D s(no)RNP structural architectures. Each structure is given a descriptive name and indicated if it contains an RNA target or not, the methods used to obtain the structure, and the database identification code. The cartoon representations used are identical to those used in Figure 1. The colors used are identical to those used for ribbon representations of the actual structures shown in subsequent figures. The light-yellow ovals outlined by dashed circles indicate alternative positions of the catalytic subunit fibrillarin within the same architecture.
