
Loss of pFal1 results in defective sporulation. (A) Diploid pfal1Δ−/− cells show a growth defect similar to that in haploid pfal1Δ cells. Cells were serially diluted 10-fold, plated on rich media (YEA), and incubated at 30°C for 3 d. (B) Sporulated cells were visualized by DAPI staining and confocal microscopy.
