RNase III, RNase E, and PNPase are involved in SraG degradation. Northern blot analysis of SraG sRNA. N3433 strains carrying mutations in the genes indicated at the top of the autoradiograph were grown at 30°C in LB medium and shifted to 42°C for 15 min (A) or grown at 37°C (B). Total RNA (10 µg) was separated on acrylamide gels and analyzed by Northern blotting. Blots were probed for SraG and 5S rRNA.
