Total RNA extracts from L. lactis carrying various Ll.LtrB constructs were either untreated (A), treated with RNase A (B), or treated with DNase I (C) prior to RT-PCR amplification of the released intron junction (intron lariat, 138 bp; intron circle, 144 bp).
