Sedimentation behavior of Utp23 and the N178 mutant. The utp23Δ strains expressing Utp23-TAP (A,B) or its N178 mutant (C,D) from a GPD-driven plasmid were grown at 30°C (B,D) or 20°C (A,C). The cell extracts were fractionated on 7%–50% sucrose gradients, and Utp23-TAP was detected using PAP. The ribosome profiles were recorded at 254 nm.
