Functional characterization of two paralogs that are novel RNA binding proteins influencing mitochondrial transcripts of Trypanosoma brucei

The MRB8170 and MRB4160 proteins bind RNA. Proteins incubated with the first 102 nt of pre-edited cyB sequence body-labeled with [α-³²P]UTP were UV-cross-linked, treated with RNase A, and separated on a 10% SDS-acrylamide gel.
