Defining the Mer1 and Nam8 meiotic splicing regulons by cDNA rescue

cDNA rescue defines the Mer1 and Nam8 splicing regulons. mer1Δ and nam8Δ diploids with the indicated cDNAs integrated at the chromosomal LEU2 or URA3 locus were examined by light microscopy at the indicated times after transfer to sporulation medium. The percentages of the cell population comprising four-spore asci are plotted as a function of time. Each datum is the average of three independent experiments ±SEM.
