DAZAP1-mediated stimulation is enhanced by the presence of multiple binding sites within the 3′ UTR. Oocytes expressing MS2-U1A and MS2-xDAZAP1 were co-injected with β-galactosidase control and luciferase reporter mRNAs containing one (luc-MS21), three (luc-MS23), or nine (luc-MS29) MS2-binding sites within the 3′ UTR. luc-MS23 is referred to as luc-MS2 elsewhere. Data are plotted as in Figure 1A.
