Kinetic parameters for E. coli TrmD and M. jannaschii Trm5. Michaelis constants Km (AdoMet) and inhibition constants (Ki) for all analogs were measured in steady state and are reported as mean values of at least two independent determinations (± standard deviation values). Ki/Km is calculated from respective values for each enzyme and the ratio [Ki/Km (Trm5)]/[Ki/Km (TrmD)] is reported. Also see Supplemental Figure S1.
