Schematic outline of the RNase-assisted RNA chromatography method. An RNA molecule is covalently attached to the agarose beads and then incubated with protein extracts (X, Y, and Z denote different cellular proteins). Next, the RNA–protein complexes are released from the beads by RNase treatment, followed by SDS electrophoresis and mass spectrometry.
