Note that manipulation of cog-1 or lsy-6 activity results in a complete symmetrization of die-1 expression. We have shown here that die-1 regulation occurs on the level of its 3′UTR but also on a non-3′UTR-dependent mechanism, with both mechanisms being cog-1 dependent.
