Analysis of interaction between rpS5 and rpS4 mutants. (A) Western analysis to determine relative the expression of rpS5 and rpS4 mutants. Twenty micrograms of total protein for each sample were loaded and detected using Anti-HA antibody. β-Tubulin antibody was used as a loading control. (B) Analysis of interactions between rpS5 and the mutants of rpS4 mutants by β-galactosidase assays performed as in Figure 2B. (C) Coimmunoprecipitation of wild-type rpS4 by wild-type and mutant forms of rpS5. Extracts containing 50 μg of protein were immunoprecipitated and analyzed as in Figure 4. (D) Analysis of interactions between rpS5 and rpS4 by Leucine prototrophy was performed as in Figure 3.
