Interaction of P- and E-site tRNAs with the 23S rRNA. The contacts observed in the 5.5 Å resolution structure of the 70S ribosome (Yusupov et al. 2001) are displayed using an all-atom model of the ribosome (Tung and Sanbonmatsu 2004). Nucleotides indicated in green and in blue are located in the P- and the E-sites, respectively.
